Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Wipe for Reddit ("the App", "the Software"), you ("User", "you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the developer of Wipe for Reddit ("we", "us", "our").
If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of the App
Wipe for Reddit is a desktop application that allows users to view, search, filter, export, and delete their own Reddit posts and comments. The App runs entirely on your local machine. It interacts with Reddit's services on your behalf using your own Reddit session credentials.
The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with Reddit, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates. "Reddit" and all related names, marks, and logos are trademarks of Reddit, Inc.
3. Your Reddit Account - Your Responsibility
You are solely and entirely responsible for your Reddit account and any consequences that arise from using this App.
By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:
a) You are the rightful owner of the Reddit account you sign in with, and you have full authority to delete content from that account.
b) Deleting posts and comments through the App is permanent and irreversible. Reddit does not provide any mechanism to recover deleted content. Once content is deleted, it is gone forever.
c) Bulk or rapid deletion of content may trigger Reddit's automated anti-abuse, anti-spam, or rate-limiting systems. This may result in temporary or permanent consequences to your Reddit account, including but not limited to: rate limiting, temporary suspension, permanent suspension, shadow banning, content removal, account flagging, or any other action Reddit's systems or moderators may take.
d) We have no control over Reddit's systems, policies, rate limits, or enforcement actions. We cannot predict, prevent, or reverse any action Reddit takes against your account.
e) Using third-party tools to interact with Reddit's services may violate Reddit's Terms of Service, User Agreement, API Terms, or other policies. It is your sole responsibility to review and comply with Reddit's terms. You can review Reddit's current terms at redditinc.com/policies.
f) We strongly recommend deleting content slowly and in small batches, taking breaks between deletion sessions, and exporting your data before deleting. Even with the App's built-in rate limiting (randomized 1–3 second delays between deletions), there is no guarantee that Reddit will not take action against your account.
4. Assumption of Risk
You expressly acknowledge and assume all risks associated with using the App, including but not limited to:
The permanent and irreversible loss of your Reddit posts and comments. Temporary or permanent suspension, restriction, or termination of your Reddit account by Reddit, Inc. Changes to Reddit's API, internal services, or terms that may cause the App to stop functioning, behave unexpectedly, or delete content incorrectly. Potential exposure of your Reddit account to automated detection systems due to the patterns of API requests made by the App. Any other adverse outcome related to your use of the App in connection with Reddit's services.
You agree that you are using the App voluntarily and at your own risk, and that you have been adequately warned of these risks.
5. No Warranty - "As Is"
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to: implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement; any warranty that the App will meet your requirements; any warranty that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; any warranty that the results obtained from the App will be accurate or reliable; any warranty that defects will be corrected.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
This includes, without limitation: loss of data, loss of access to your Reddit account, suspension or termination of your Reddit account, loss of reputation, loss of revenue, loss of profits, or any other damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App.
Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50.00 USD, whichever is greater.
These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer of Wipe for Reddit from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: your use of the App; your violation of these Terms; any action taken by Reddit against your account as a result of using the App; or your violation of any third party's rights.
8. Pro License
Pro features are available through a one-time purchase processed by LemonSqueezy. By purchasing Pro, you agree to LemonSqueezy's terms of service and refund policy.
Your Pro license is a one-time purchase with no recurring charges. Refunds are handled according to LemonSqueezy's refund policy. We do not process payments directly.
We reserve the right to change pricing for new purchases at any time. Price changes will not affect existing license holders.
9. Intellectual Property
Wipe for Reddit, including its code, design, and documentation, is the intellectual property of its developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App in accordance with these Terms.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the App to delete content from Reddit accounts you do not own or have authorization to manage. Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations. Modify, distribute, or resell the App. Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others. Attempt to circumvent any security or access controls in the App.
11. License Restrictions
Each Pro license may be activated on up to 3 machines simultaneously. Sharing license keys with others or using a single license on more than 3 machines is prohibited.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license to use the App if we believe you are violating these Terms.
12. Service Availability and Changes
The App depends on Reddit's services and APIs to function. We do not guarantee that the App will work at all times or indefinitely. Reddit may change, restrict, or discontinue its APIs or services at any time, which may render the App partially or entirely non-functional.
We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. We are not obligated to provide updates, bug fixes, maintenance, or support for the App.
In the event that the App is discontinued, active Pro subscribers will not be billed for subsequent periods, but no refund is guaranteed for the current billing period.
13. Third-Party Content and Services
The App may display content fetched from Reddit (your own posts and comments). We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any content displayed.
The App integrates with LemonSqueezy for payment processing. Your use of LemonSqueezy is subject to their terms and conditions. We are not responsible for LemonSqueezy's service availability, performance, or any issues related to payment processing.
14. Export and Data Backup
The App offers a JSON export feature (Pro). While we endeavor to make the export accurate, we make no guarantees about the completeness or accuracy of exported data. Reddit's API may not return all historical content (Reddit's APIs typically cap at approximately 1,000 most recent items per type).
We strongly recommend exporting your data before performing any deletions. Once content is deleted, it cannot be recovered through the App or through Reddit.
15. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference, to understand how the App handles data.
16. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We may terminate or suspend your access to the App (including deactivating your Pro license) at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.
Upon termination, your rights under these Terms will immediately cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, and 17) will survive.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration authority in the developer's jurisdiction.
You agree that any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to your use of the App must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arose, or be forever barred.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App, and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations, whether oral or written.
20. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the App and uninstall it.
